Even if a well-known scholar defined the word's meaning, it cannot be so.

 

Meaning of the word emerges exactly at the moment  someone uses it.

Please do not make a meaning to be had by a word.

At that monent, the word come to die in you.

As Bybee said, Linguistic stucture is a emergent result.

As Keller said, meaning of a linguistic form is what that speech aims at.

As Speech Act theory revealed, meaning of a speech is what that speech serves for
